PrestaHeroes was never meant to be a large agency. It’s the result of one founder with decades of systems experience, relentless curiosity, and a refusal to accept fragile, overcomplicated eCommerce solutions.
I’m Fred, founder of PrestaHeroes.
Long before eCommerce, I worked on mission-critical transaction systems—serving as Lead TPF Communications on American Express authorization platforms, and earlier building systems for major airlines and financial institutions, programming in IBM 360/370 assembler, where uptime, accuracy, and testing weren’t optional.
After retiring from that world, I entered eCommerce early—starting with PrestaShop 1.4—and have spent more than 15 years upgrading, repairing, migrating, and scaling real online stores across the U.S. and Europe. That background defines how PrestaHeroes operates today.
What began as a traditional agency model—intake, delegation, delivery—has evolved into something far more focused and effective. Today, I personally lead every project from concept through execution.
We don’t rely on the PrestaShop ecosystem to solve hard problems. For demanding clients, many solutions simply don’t exist publicly—so we design and build them ourselves. Custom modules, workflows, and UX patterns are created when standard approaches fall short, especially around localization, pricing logic, geo context, performance, abuse mitigation, checkout, shipping, and conversion flow.
