High-level setup

Alias each additional domain

In your hosting control panel (Plesk, cPanel, etc.), add the domain and set it as a domain alias to your primary PrestaShop installation. All domains must resolve to the same shop instance.

Add the domain in Multishop Pro

Add the aliased domain inside Multishop Pro and set its unique shop configuration (identity, localization, analytics). Save—then that domain loads with its own storefront profile automatically.

Implementation note: if your shop uses fully qualified links (e.g. https://maindomain.com/category-name) you may need to replace them with relative URIs (e.g. /category-name) so navigation remains correct across all connected domains.

From an SEO standpoint, MultiShop Pro is designed so that each domain behaves as a fully independent storefront.
SEO behavior and indexing
- Each shop is served on its own domain, not as a sub-path or parameterized URL
- Search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) will crawl, index, and rank each domain separately
- There is no shared URL structure, which avoids duplicate-content issues by default
- Each domain can build its own authority, backlinks, and search visibility
This makes the module well-suited for businesses targeting:
- Different countries or markets
- Separate brands
- Distinct pricing, catalog, or content strategies per domain
Important note
SEO outcomes still depend on correct configuration (canonical URLs, language targeting, content strategy, and internal linking), but the module itself does not impose SEO limitations or force cross-domain coupling.
In short: yes—each domain is indexable on its own and treated by search engines as a separate site.

Hi. We are very interested in acquiring your module but just have a question to ask first. We are running a ps 1.7.8 single store in Spain with one domain name but would like to expand using multilanguage but without using multistore to other top level domains for example xyz.fr, xyz.it, xyz.de, xyz.nl etc. Will the url in with your module render as xyz.it/(language) or simply xyz.it? Many thanks in advance for your help. Warm regards

Hi, and thank you for your interest.
For language, this will be served normally, as it is in the main domain. so if maindomain.com/it/uri then newdomain.com/it/URI will also be served.
The module allows you to set the default language, currency, set language from browser.

Hi, what is the difference between this module and simple multistore option of the Prestashop? If I use your module, do I need ny specific settings of domains I want to use for my individual shops? Thank you!

MultiShop Pro is for shop that wants to multiplex the complete catalog across multiple domains. Each additional domain will use the same theme, modules, catalog. MultiShop pros allows change to each domain names, store name, email, default languges currency etc. See screen shots for all detail.

MultiShop pro has better performance, much less code length where PS MS has to check if this module, this items, this customer etc is part of the domain, is complex to manage and very difficult to upgrade. Of all my clients over the years I have never seen on using PS MS.

The modern way to multiplex content by major websites is using country-language in the URL.
